Unkept Promises is the fourth episode in Season 4 of the Netflix series Aggretsuko.

"Retsuko and Fenneko blab to Himuro about Ton's past work harassment during a night of drinking. Retsuko tells Haida she only wants to be friends."
Summary[]
Fenneko tells Retsuko everything. Retsuko then imagines her wedding with Haida, who moment before putting the ring on her, gets cold feet and tells her he can't do it and goes home.
Haida goes to play in a band with his friends. After they play, Haida invites Shishido for a drink. There, Haida learns that Shishido's band broke up and he is broke. Shishido asks him if he has a girl and Haida denies. Shishido then shakes his hand, saying that both are single, and explains that his girlfriend dumped him for an older businessman. Shishido had started to believe that the work makes the man and as he is broke, he is trash, and tells Haida to not become like him.
Retsuko drinks a bit too much and Fenneko tries to call her a taxi, however, Retsuko can't stand still and goes around. As Fenneko tries to stop her, a car passes by and splashes them. Angry at Haida, Retsuko takes out her nunchucks and chases the car. The car stops at red light and Retsuno manages to reach it and starts knocking on the window. Himuro opens the window and apologizes, offering to compensate them.
He takes them to a fancy sushi restaurant, where Fenneko and Retsuko enjoy some quality sake. The two comment he isn't anything like Ton. Himuro states that he recently met Ton and he is exceptional man, but Retsuko and Fenneko disagree, saying he is a psychopath who won't even let them use the AC and that he has been bullying Retsuko for years. Retsuko tries to say its nothing, but Himuro reveals he wants to make the company a better place and Ton may need to change. He offers them more sake and wishes to hear more about it.
Retsuko and Fenneko wake up the next morning feeling awful and not remembering what they said last night. Retsuko goes to meet up with Manaka and tells her what Haida had said. Manaka makes fun of Haida and states she felt he was a looser. She tells Retsuno that they won't be a good match as Retsuko is a follower type and needs someone to lead her, while if she is with Haida, since both lack initiative, they will end up loosing their time.
Tsubone's computer won't start and she is worried its a virus, but Haida tells her to stop blaming all issues to viruses. He finds the issue being a faulty memory stick and replaces it, fixing her computer. Tsubone congratulates him, stating she knew he would be faster than her calling a tech. After work, Haida walks Retsuko home, who then tells him she is fine now and he no longer needs to walk her. As things are getting awkward, they can continue to be just normal friends.
Ton receives a letter informing him that his position is changed and instead of accounting director, he is chief of the career experience design office. Angry, he goes to visit Himuro as he never even heard of such division. Himuro tells him he is changing his position and that his division is aiming to train a diverse pool of talents. Ton isn't happy about the demotion, but Himuro explains that he is easily provoked and can become violent. He shows him, he has a recording of a female coworker he bullied, but won't reveal her identity.
The next day, Ton and Komiya reveal that Ton is getting promoted and will be moving to a new division. Fenneko wonders what will they do with his 30th anniversary gift as he is leaving before his 30th anniversary.
